New places that I have found in Seattle for great food and fun:

1. Kells, located at Pikes Place Market, great food and fun. Live Irish music every night.  There are a lot of Irish Pubs in Seattle, however not to many of them play real Irish tunes!!! good job Kells!

2.  Palomino, City Centre has a great happy hour.  I highly recomend it for wood-fired pizza made with local sausage from Uli's located at Pikes Place Market.  We had a great non-alcohol Mojito made with mango and some wonderful local Pacific Northwest wine.

I have some catching up to do.  I have been doing some traveling and some work, that has kept me to busy to get into the blog.  That needs to change.  So along with the idea that action is only action when you begin it, i will start off anew.

Cool things that I checked out in Seattle lately:

Had a wonderful evening at The Seattle Opera house watching La Boheme, by Puccini, a tragic tale of love and loss.  It was staged with warm colors in the background and a lively company of players singing such notes, beautiful.  The Seattle Opera, located at McCaw Hall near the Seattle Center (by the Space Needle) is a wonderful playhouse with good seats everywhere.  I used to buy the season tickets, but I was not happy with the production of Madame Butterfly last year, so for some reason, i decided to only choose certain operas this year.  The good news is, however I have been buying better seats!!.  The noise bleeders are still good seats, but you need to use the glasses to see the details.

"A gastropub-style Seattle Waterfront restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with blackboard fish and other daily specials celebrating the local bounty. And enjoy craft beers, artisanal wines by the glass on our outdoor patio."

It seems lately we have been to a lot of happy hours in Seattle.  I do cook most of the time, however it seems lately if I meet my husband downtown, we always end up at a happy hour somewhere.  It is great for research.  This one deserves another thumbs up.  We had 3 apps and 3 drinks all for $36.  The Hook and Plow has a marvelous view of the new Ferris wheel near Pikes Place Market on Alaska Way.  Located along boardwalk, it is the perfect place for a sunset with all the harbor and people watching activities.  We especially love the creamy, cheesy Beecher Cheddar and spinach dip, which is even better with the addition of fresh crab!  Served with sliced baguettes.

"The Seattle Great Wheel is a giant Ferris wheel located on Pier 57 on the banks of Puget Sound in SeattleWashington, United States. With an overall height of 175 feet (53.3 m), it was the tallest Ferris wheel on the west coast of the United States when it opened on June 29, 2012."
